The Agreement of the cooperation of city municipalities Paliliula, City of Nis and Lazarevac, City of Belgrade in Palilula Municipal building was signed. On the basis of Decision on cooperation establishing, that was adopted after many months of preparations by the councilors of both Assemblies, Branko Boric, president of Lazarevac Municipality and PhD Igor Novakovic president of Palilula Municipality signed this significant document. The subject of this Agreement, according to Novakovic words, is establishing permanent business cooperation, improvement of local self government work and intensifying implementation of all work achievements with the aim of improving citizens life quality.

Another new postal unit is opened in Palilula Municipality located in Municipal Service Center in `Branka Radicevica` street, no 1. In this way, according to the words of PhD Igor Novakovic, president of Palilula Municipality, this all will improve the work of the services and make faster the services that this postal unit provides to the citizens. Miroslav Janojlic, director of Post traffic Nis –Public Service PTT Serbia, emphasized on this occasion the good cooperation with the authorities of the Municipality and announced new projects aiming at the improvement of the services for Palilula citizens. Milan Djurdjevic, president of Palilula Municipal Assembly was also present at this event.
On the initiative of Palilula Municipality and many months of preparations, City Council of the City of Nis adopted on January 16 2012 the Project of reconstruction and sanitation-repairing of Palilula market. `This project of the reconstruction one of the oldest market places of Nis is the beginning of the adaptation of all city market places and it is expected that the works are to start with this spring. Beside, the traffic ring and parking space around this market of Palilula will be adapted in the other way`.According to Novakovic, the president words, finally it will begin with the realization of this investment for which Palilula has provided all the necessary conditions
Planning of greenery in-between buildings of residential areas of Palilula equally takes place throughout the year. In the cooperation with the citizens on the terrain, civil society and the Public utility enterprises Gorica and Mediana, many landfills and abandoned spaces have been repaired were turned into a small "green oasis". Assistant of head of administration of Palilula Slavoljub Savic visited Crvena zvezda settlement. After the adaptation of park surfaces, Triglavska area residents with the help of Municipality and "Gorica" enriched this space with thirty seedlings. Momir Kostic, president of Citizens Council `Crvena zvezda` and Sladjana Petkovic, are satisfied with the realized action and support of Palilula. management.
Ministry of Human and Minority Rights, Public Administration and Local Self-Government in the "Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia", No. January 2 of 13 2012 published The decision on the allocation of funds by a public call for application of local self-government for the allocation of funds from earmarked budget of income acquired by organizing games of chance, and used to finance local government. This decision Palilula Municipality of Nis granted funds in the amount of 1,450,000.00 dinars for the implementation of the project "Conversion of illegal dumps in the park areas" from one of six areas earmarked for assistance to local governments in the implementation of environmental programs or local, and remedial action plans, projects and activities in the field of environmental protection.
On the occasion of celebration of January 14 on the day of St. Vasilije Veliki, in our local community known as VASILICA and also the first day of Serbian new year and one of the most recognizable Roma celebrations in Serbia, under the sponsorship of Palilula Municipality, Dragan Osmanovic, coordinator for Roma issues in Palilula Municipality and Bojan Zenulovic from the Centre for active communication, gave 150 new year gifts to Roma children. Palilula Municipality has been working for 4 year actively and responsibly on the Roma population integration into our society.
Milos Stojkovic, member of Palilula Municipal Council, visited village households in Cokot and Donje Medjurovo because of the recent bad weather during the beginning of this year. Bad weather, followed with strong wind and snow, damaged more than 1000 greenhouses, emphasized Zoran Petrovic and Aleksandar Kovacevic from Cokot village. After visiting agricultural households of the residents of these villages, mostly involved in vegetable growing, Milos Stojkovic announced the forming of five member Municipal commission that will have for its aim to determine the range of damage. 
All papers ready, waiting for better weather conditions… Not previously estimated very long time was actually necessary for providing construction project papers that will be adopted by City Council during the first session in this year says president Novakovic in the statement for `Narodne Novine`, local Nis newspapers. President Novakovic also announced the change of traffic in surrounding streets.Reconstruction of Palilula market place, that according to the previous words of PhD Igor Novakovic, should have started on the beginning of October 2011 and should have been completed by one month, will start as soon weather conditions allow us, since that only recently the structuring documentation has been completed.
Catalogue of small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurs of Palilula Municipality is presented at the press conference held in Palilula Municipality in the presence of LEDIB programme Carsten Lund and programme coordinator Zarko Simovic.According to the words of PhD Igor Novakovic, Palilula president, this publication appeared as a part of activity within the developmental project of Palilula Municipality, Serbian and Bulgarian businessmen and traders. `Establishing synergic dialogue between Serbian and Bulgarian / SME and professional organizations so that sustainable development could be established` was completed in the end of the last year with LEDIB support.
Action free firewood for socially jeopardized families of Palilula Municipality showed the real situation of Palilula, showed the life conditions of one part of Palilula population. The president of Municipal Assembly Milan Djurdjevic visited Lalinac village and after the proposal of Citizens Council visited households of Dragoslav Stojanovic and Nebojsa Petrovic. To these households Palilula provided each one three meters of firewood.Dragoslav Stanojevic, Lalinac village, 54, lives with his wife Zorica, 57. They have two daughters. Elder is married and younger,22, lives with them. No one in the family works and they do not have any incomes. These days electricity and water are also cut off in this household. They do not have any land. 
To all the citizens of Palilula and City of Nis, our business partners and donors, who supported our developmental projects, I would like to wish all the best for 2012 and Christmas holidays with the wish that New Year will be happier and more successful than all the former years together. Palilula Municipality is turned towards future and our authorities already for three years very successfully have been stepping to the realization of determined strategic objectives, so that the our citizens` lives would be more of quality and better in whole. Palilula is also developmentally oriented Nis municipality heading towards European integration processes, building a new vision of development. 
For the coming of New Year holidays PhD Igor Novakovic wished Happy New Year to the pupils of Branko Miljkovic elementary school and gave them presents. The pupils prepared the art programme and welcomed symbolically the guests with songs and dance and in this way said farewell to the old 2011. According to the words of Bojana Simovic, head master deputy, the cooperation with Palilula Municipality during the former period, was very successful. The support of the Municipality in the activities of the improvement work conditions of this educational institution and new investment projects that will be realized in 2012 are all very significant. 
Project center of Palilula Municipality was successfully formed few years ago. The activity on creating good business ambience for businesses of SMEEs in Palilula, supported by LEDIB programme, has been well realized. This was the estimation of PhD Igor Novakovic, president of the Municipality of Palilula and project coordinators Boban Mikic and Milan Nikolic. `The idea for opening Project center was actually born in the moment when we had one problem with our businessmen about the certain matters since we had not had professionally trained human resources in this area before. That is why we wanted to educate our Municipal officers to make strategic plans
The best pupils and students of Palilula together with the representatives of educational institutions, gathered at the ceremony held in NKC – Nis Cultural Center, welcomed PhD Igor Novakovic president of Palilula Municipality. On this occasion Municipal calendar for 2012 promotion, presidents Igor Novakovic and Milan Djurdjevic, sent the pupils and students New Year and Christmas greeting words. `Again, this year, we have realized the idea that the best pupils of schools and students of faculties, who are in educational institutions in Palilula, are in the pictures of original Municipal calendar of 2012. After the Call for best pupils and students names, more than 200 names nominations were sent. 
Five member team from Electronic Faculty, University of Nis, with PhD Zoran Jovanovic as mentor, the team that worked at the project – Introduction of wireless system of signalization management - Railway Crossroad Palilula` - was welcomed at the reception by the president of Palilula Municipality PhD Igor Novakovic who awarded them with prize money in the amount of 50, 000 RSD. Danijela Maravic, coordinator of PECD programme was also present at the reception. At the competition for THE BEST TECHNOLOGICAL INOVATION OF SERBIA in 2011, student team of Electronic Faculty from Nis, Aleksandar Najdanovic, Milos Andonovic, Dusan Todorovic, Miodrag Golubovic and Valentino Nikolic 
`Niska Palilula` (Palilula of Nis) monograph book by Jovica Vasic, publicist and journalist, realized by Palilula Municipality at the end of 2011 in cooperation with Nis Cultural Center, was promoted in Nis University. After PhD Igor Novakovic, president of Palilula Municipality greeting and welcoming speech about the significance of this valuable cultural project, also spoke PhD Mile Ilic, president of Nis City Assembly, Milan Djurdjevic, president of Palilula Municipal Assembly, Srdjan Savic, director of Nis Cultural Center and the author of Monograph, sociologist Jovica Vasic. The programme of work promotion was enriched with excellent performance of vocal group `Constantin`. `Niska Palilula` monographic work was graphically shaped by Mile Radicevic with many documents and photos by Miroslav Lavrencic
In coming day of New Year and Christmas celebration, the president of Palilula Municipality PhD Igor Novakovic and Milan Djurdjevic, president of Palilula Municipal Assembly, gave presents to the best pupils of seven elementary schools and two special schools from Palilula territory. They all received new mobile phones and books with intention to show the public the fact to that efforts and good results always have positive public attention. After the call of the Municipality and proposition of primary school head masters, the list of the best pupils was made. The action was realized in cooperation with company `Telekom`.`This all represents symbolic award for all the all efforts these young people have put and with this became important and recognizable members of our society` 
The delegation of Svoge Municipality, led by Zoro Radoev Cvetkov Municipal President visited Palilula Municipality. The guests from Bulgaria were welcomed by PhD Igor Novakovic, president of Palilula Municipality and Milan Djurdjevic, president of Palilula Municipal Assembly. During the recent held elections in Bulgaria, the new Municipal authorities of Svoge was elected. As Palilula Municipality has been having for years successful cooperation with this Municipality, new meeting was used for first meeting of both authorities and agreements about the future activities. It was discussed about the importance and successful improvement of cooperation of two municipalities, new projects within the programme of neighborhood cooperation. 
Supporting vulnerable people of Palilula with firewood donation Palilula continued with donations of firewood to families in villages Lalinac and Krušce. With Milos Stojkovic, a member of the Council of Palilula visiting Roma households actively participated and Dragan Osmanovic Coordinator for Roma issues of the municipality.This humane mission began with visiting household and forty one-year old Alija Amzic, who lives with his family at `Sime Matavulja` street, near old `Vulkan`. He had three strokes and therefore can not speak, poorly mobile and cannot use his right hand. In Gabrovac village the works on the construction of secondary water supply were completed. On this occasion the members of the authorities of Palilula Municipality, PhD Igor Novakovic, president Milan Djurdjevic, president of the Assembly and Milos Stojkovic, member of Municipal and Aleksandar Mitic, general manager of Public Enterprise `Naissus`, Nis discussed with the villagers the solving problem of water supply and participation of every citizen and every household in financial obligations. Since the expenses of the water supply connection device to secondary water supply are very high in this moment, according to the opinion of Gabrovac villagers, adequate city help was demanded, but also help of Palilula Municipality, Public Enterprise Naisus and Public Enterprise Directorate for City of Nis structuring.
Action "firewood" for socially-disadvantaged families of Palilula shows more and more that in what kind of circumstances a part of our population lives. Member of Municipal Council Milos Stojkovic, visited Krušce village and after the proposition of president of the Council of the citizens, Tomislav Stojanovic, he visited the houses of Srdjan Milosevic and Zarko Stojkovic. Palilula Municipality provided each three metres of firewood.Srdjan Milosevic (52) lives in the village and has a seven-member family. He was employed in Juzna Morava, but was fired about a year ago.He lives with his wife Tatjana, 35, ill with bronchial asthma Jelica mother, 83, immobile, and his four children.
During 30 Assembly meeting of Lazarevac Municipality, the councilors adopted the Decision of establishing cooperation of Lazarevac Municipality with Palilula Municipality from Nis. This decision came as the result of good cooperation of our two municipalities with the partners from Project Centre of the City of Nis during the implementation of the project `Establishing project center for sustainable development, elaboration and implementation of the projects according to EU standards`. 
Legendary rock group `Kerber` from Nis will celebrate 30 year jubilee anniversary in sport hall `Cair` on December 15. Palilula Municipality supported the organization of this cultural manifestation.
After few summer concerts and the most significant performance on Belgrade Beer Fest in front of more than dozens thousands of people, Kerber will perform in hometown Nis. The concert is on December 15 and will be in renovated Hall `Cair`. Concert tickets can be found in selling with the price of 600 dinars (Dom Vojske, Book stores Indigo, Delfi Laguna and Happy House). This concert really brought memories and made happy many Kerber and old rock scene fans in south Serbia. 
Twenty fifth session of Palilula Municipal Assembly was marked by the confirmation of the Decision of the Council on the establishment of cooperation with Lazarevac Municipality. On this occasion, to the councils of Palilula were presented with the delegation of Lazarevac Municipality, presided by the president of of this Belgrade City Municipal Assembly- Milan Ivkovic.At this meeting, the Assembly adopted the Decision on Amending the Decision on the Municipal budget for 2011, then the revised text of the Decision of the local government territory of Palilula. 
Within the action of donating firewood for the coming winter for socially vulnerable families of Palilula Milos Stojkovic and Boban Mikic, members of Palilula Municipal Council visited the families. Snezana Kostic lives in Trebinjska street in the family of eight, She is 70 years old and lives in an old house inhabited by two of her daughters with their own families. The older daughter Mirjana is 45 years old and three daughters, from who is one married and the two twins, 23. She worked for a couple of years in NITEKS factory and currently is on paid leave but have not received any compensation ever. 
Volunteering Day in Serbia – programme `High school pupils for high school pupils` was organized in Nis Palilula Municipality. On this occasion five high school pupils, three from `Svetozar Markovic` and two from `Bora Stankovic` grammars schools, got introduced with Palilula work, work of Municipal president and Council members authorities and services work - Communal inspection, Centre for entrepreneurship, Office for Youth. Pupils volunteers were welcomed at the meeting with Milan Djurdjevic, president of Palilula Municipal Assembly and Boban Mikic, member of Municipal Council. 
The global campaign STOP CLIMATE CHANGE 2011, was marked with the opening of solo exhibition of photographs and installations of Dragan Vidojkovic, multimedia artists, by EKOpolis media network in Niš in `European corner`, Nis. This exhibition, called "GREEN CHALLENGES OF EKOPOLIS" was sponsored by Palilula Municipality, in consultation with the members and eco-network partner organization Education Center in Knjazevac. The exhibition opened Milan Djurdjevic, president of Palilula Assembly, who emphasized the importance of civic activism and interactive cooperation between local authorities and civil society. 
After successfully accomplished activities on the project "Strengthening of municipal capacities for improving the quality of life of vulnerable social groups" from the "Exchange 3" programme, the management of Palilula continued to monitor and assist vulnerable families. They provided firewood for 50 socially vulnerable households in both urban and rural area of the municipality. Visiting households this week was done by Milos Stojkovic, a member of Palilula Municipal Council and Milan Djurdjevic, president of the Municipal Assembly with their associates.Dobrivoje and Slobodanka Zlatanović live in a house made of mud in Mramorski potok village.
Action "firewood for socially-disadvantaged Palilula families`` is also continuing this week. Milan Djurdjevic, president of Palilula Municipal Assembly and a member of the Municipal Council Milos Stojkovic, visited the villages of Donje Medjurovo I Bubanj village. They donated 18 meters of firewood. Four families got firewood in Gornje Medjurovo village.Snezana Pavlovic, 48, a single mother, living with her son,17. She is unemployed and from financial benefit has the revenue in the amount of 6,000 dinars, and children's allowance in the amount of 2,500 dinars. There are debts for electricity, water and other utilities. She has been operated of tumor. 
President of Palilula PhD Igor Novakovic and his associates, members of the Municipal Council, Milos Stojkovic and Boban Mikic, visited the contractors (`MB Gradnja I Niskogradnja`) working on the road from the bridge in the village Lalinac to Holy Trinity Church. According to the project, 750 meters of road will be paved and the completion is November 28 according to the contractors` words.The villagers of Lalinac, after decades of promises, finally got the bridge over the South Morava River, of 155 meters length, with the investment of 100 million dinars. Funds for this project were provided from the State and City budget.
In Lalinac village, Palilula delegation headed by President Prof. Dr. Igor Novakovic and member Municipal Council, Milos Stojkovic, visited the household of Kokan Milenkovic. He takes care about his mother Cveta Jovancic. The old woman is 79 years old, operated from stomach cancer and for a year not getting up from bed. `The right to someone else's care is denied to Grandma Cveta although she has all the bases for the realization of this right`, says the son. President Novakovic donated three meters of firewood also to this household during the actions of supporting vulnerable households. 
During the project "Strengthening Municipal capacities to improve the quality of life of vulnerable social groups" from the "Exchange 3", which was last year successfully implemented by Palilula Municipality, 4908 Palilula socially vulnerable residents received free assistance of experts, doctors, sociologists, psychologists, lawyers and caretakers. As the donor was unable to provide further support to the sustainability of the project, Palilula Municipal president, PhD Igor Novakovic said that Palilula within its authority would continue to care for disadvantaged residents of its own municipality. `Our capabilities are modest, but what is more important in the life of families who literally drawn "ends meet", said Novakovic, on the occasion of starting firewood donation to vulnerable households.
In Nis settlement - Ledena Stena, Palilula Municipality, last weekends the action of cleaning this `little forest` was successfully performed. Sumice is situated at the border part of Memorial park Bubanj, between elementary school Bubanjski heroji and Special school Bubanj. In this action 110 car gears of various sizes were collected and 2 cubic meters of various wastes. The objective of this ecological action, that was organized last weekend according to the words of Svetlana Petrovic, president of Puls association, is to clean `Sumica` of new dumps and car gears and to make faster the adaptation and arranging of the space into procreative park. The activity that came before the cleaning seems that was not the reminder to citizens without consciousness to go on with old practice, waste removals from the places where they are not supposed to be. 
Palilula Municipality send an invitation to all interested economic entities that are business active at the territory of Palilula to submit to the Centre for entrepreneurship of the Municipality basic facts about their firm: short description of activities, address, contact person data, information about manager, phone number, e mail, logo sign and web site of the firm.These information, according to project manager Milan Nikolic words, will be in the catalogue of small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurs that will be realized within the activities of the project `Establishing synergic dialogue between Serbian and Bulgarian entrepreneurs SME and professional organizations in order to develop the sustainable development of experience`.
Cleaning of small forest that encompasses the border parts of Memorial Park `Bubanj`, between elementary school `Bubanjski heroji` and Special school `Bubanj` in Palilula Municipality, will be on Saturday November 19 at 10 00.`The objective of this action is to clean `Sumica` of new dump places and old gears above the streets `Zrtava fasizma` and `Nikodije Stojanovic –Tatko` and to redecorate this area as recreational park` – says Svetlana Petrovic, president of `Puls` Association.The action `Save Sumice – lungs of Ledena Stena` is organized on November 17, World day of ecological movement and global world campaign Clean up the World. This activity is well, known thanks to great persistence of the citizens-volunteers of Ledena Stena settlement to redecorate and clean the neglected parts and to make of it new park place. 
At the Hall of National Assembly `Battle for Babies` action - the central manifestation on the occasion of the completion of was organized. In the scope of this action, more than 160 incubators were provided. Guests of honor of this manifestation were premature born babies who were clinically taken care of in this way and whose faces were used in the campaign. The President of the Serbian Assembly Slavica Djukic Dejanovic reminded that on the last recensement 380,000 citizens less in Serbia than on the last one and that giving stimuli to birthrate increasing is one of the biggest priorities of Serbian society. `We have to praise not only Novak Djokovic, great students of Mathematics high school, sportsmen, we have to mention, praise and glorify 380,000 little heroes in dippers, it is the task of everyone of us- that is how the status of Serbia is made, said Djukic Dejanovic. 
’Battle for Babies’ launched on September 1 this year the action started because we are, as the country, facing the fact that baby incubators in Serbia ad even older than 40 years and that in this way the health and life of the premature born babies are directly affected. After the action, initiated by Palilula Municipality of Nis in one month and in the cooperation with the Student Parliament of Faculty of Natural Sciences, B92 Fund representatives, youth organization `Puzzle 'and the coalition of civil society organizations, the campaign" `BATTLE FOR BABIES` got new donors in Nis and three incubators were provided. Thus, in the words of Palilula President, PhD Novakovic, we awoke the conscience of Nis citizens, as well as those who run this city, managers of large companies, entrepreneurs.
Palilula Municipality is one of 12 municipalities and only one in Serbia that entered Municipal Support Programme (MSP IPA 2007) and thus joined the Action Plan elaboration with the help of consultants MSP IPA 2007. At the first workshop, held in early July this year, each of the priority projects was being developed by special working group consisting of Municipal government officials and representatives of Palilula Municipality, responsible institutions and stakeholders. During the second workshop, held at the end of this week in Nis cultural center, working groups chose a strategy of projects implementation, created action plan and project budget and presented their project ideas. According to the President of Palilula words, with this project of support during the next five years, 44 projects development are planned of which 11 are priority. 
The programme of communal infrastructure construction in rural area of Palilula is being successfully realized in 2011 thanks to the efforts of Palilula authorities and good cooperation with Communal enterprise `Naisus` in Nis and Citizens councils of Local community offices, I.e. Commissions that are nominated by the Citizens Council of Local community offices and Council of Local communities. On this occasion the representatives of Palilula authorities Milan Djurdjevic, president of Palilula Assembly, Milos Stojkovic, member of Palilula Council and in the presence of Aleksandar Mitic, director of Communal Enterprise Naisus – Nis, all three participated in the work of the Council of village Gabrovac.
The president of Palilula Assembly Milan Djurdjevic and Head of Municipal administration Bojan Ilic visited Municipality Lazarevac for the concretization of the Agreement on cooperation. Two decisions of the Municipal councils of Palilula and Lazarevac came before this meeting. Finishing word on this initiative will give the members of Municipal Assemblies. The delegation of Palilula Municipality visited the participants of Third Fair of Serbian vines in Lazarevac. This year fair of the best vine makers of Serbia gathered and presented about 30 vineries attracting great number of visitors. According to the words of Milan Ivkovic, president of Lazarevac Municipality, the basic idea of this festival that was organized with the motto `Time is for vine, let us drink domestic` is to show the quality of the vine produced in Serbia. 
`Battle for Babies` that was initiated in Nis by Palilula Municipality in the cooperation with Student parliament PMF (Faculty of Natural Sciences), B92 Fund and organizations of civil societies are having new followers. `Puppet Theatre` from Nis recently has joined the action. On Saturday 12 2011 at 20 00 actress Nadja Nedovic will play `An actor is an actor is an actress` according to Zijah Sokolovic play script.At the press conference organized for the `Battle` campaign in Palilula Municipality, Ljiljana Kostadinovic, director of Puppet Theatre and Nadja Nedovic, actress spoke about the cooperation and contribution of the artists and cultural institutions to humanitarian activities.
International Day Against Fascism and Antisemitism – November 9 this year was marked in Nis – Palilula Municipality in Bubanj Park place where more than 10 000 thousand people were killed during the Second World War. On this occasion the Special History Lesson was organized about the significance of this date and memory on the victims of fascist terror. It was lectured by Professor Rade Stankovic and the `public` consisted of the students of grammar school `Svetozar Markovic`, Kralj Petar Prvi elementary school, representatives of civil society organizations

On the occasion of the celebration of 85 anniversary for the activities of the `Institution for highs school children` in Nis and successful cooperation with Palilula Municipality the president Novakovic opened newly equipped gym for sport –recreational activities of the Institution users in the Institutional building. After the activity started by Palilula Municipality in the cooperation with PMF faculty Student parliament and representatives of B92 Fund and organizations of civil societies the campaign Battle for Babies got also new donors in Nis. The call – appeal was sent to socially responsible companies and institutions that are active in Nis region to join the action. Activities of Palilula authorities on traffic roads adaptation, specially traffic cross- roads and providing conditions for safe pedestrian walking and regular normal traffic regulations in Palilula parts are being successfully implemented. Last week in Delijski Vis settlement, at the turn of Marina Drzica and Ljubomira Nikolica streets 11 flowers pots were placed. This investment of 35, 000 RSD value, allowed safe passage of pedestrians at the sidewalk. PhD Igor Novakovic, president of Palilula Municipality, who visited this location with the associates, explained the value of the works in financial sense that is not very high but the project significance for the local citizens is very big. Branko Miljkovic elementary school, also one health center are very close to this spot and pupils, students daily are exposed to traffic dangers. 
According to the Palilula tradition this Municipality informed the schools and faculties from its territory about the preparation of Calendar for 2012. This publishing project will be illustrated with the photos of the best students and pupils from Palilula. The call for submitting the information of the best has been already sent to schools and faculties and the deadline for submission is November 10 2011. The realized and reached results of the individuals and teams- groups are taken into account also those pupils and students who won medals and prizes in the social and sport activities. Within the project Forming of Project centre of Palilula Municipality, that is being implemented currently up to the end of this year in Palilula Municipality, with the support of LEDIB programme has been realized the training of 12 Palilula Municipal officers in two spheres: Strategic planning and Projects writing and managing. On this occasion the president of Palilula Municipality PhD Igor Novakovic gave the certificates to training candidates. According to Novakovic words the trained officers will be the basic point of Project centre – people who will work on projects creating for Palilula Municipality, but also SMEE`s sector needs. Project centre will be together with already formed Centre for entrepreneurship development of Palilula Municipality spread the spectrum of services provided by SMEEs sector
City of Nis and Palilula Municipality in 2010 started the cooperation with the German organization Internationaler bund (
Palilula Municipality – Nis in cooperation with partner organizations of civil society in Nis supported citizen initiative and action called `BATTLE FOR BABIES`. The fact that because of very old incubators in Maternity hospitals in Serbia the death rate of babies from 1000 gram exceeded 65 % simply cannot leave us without actions said PhD Igor Novakovic, president of Palilula Municipality at the press conference. On this occasion he announced more intensive campaign in Nis and also collecting resources for purchasing new incubators for the prematurely born babies. Novakovic called all socially responsible companies and institutions, public communal enterprises that are active in Nis to join the action `Battle for Babies` and donate certain amount of money for this purpose. 
The students of Cooperative studies in Sttutgart (DualeHochschule Baden-Württemberg, Stuttgart) who are the guests of Serbia these days, in the scope of the Protocol on cooperation and teacher student exchange with the High business school of professional studies in Blace, visited also Palilula Municipality in Nis. The president of the Municipality PhD Igor Novakovic introduced the German students with the Strategy of development and potentials of Palilula Municipality:`In our Municipality we are working on the Strategy of the development of local economy which will have the access based on the resources. The most important resources of Palilula are natural, economical and human resources` – emphasized Novakovic during the presentation of municipal potentials.

The meeting with the representatives of economical societies EKOstarPAK, Belgrade was organized in Palilula Municipality aiming at the reducing of packaging waste quantity in life surrounding, preserving natural resources of Palilula Municipality and employment of socially jeopardized categories of people from Roma nationality population mostly included in collecting secondary raw materials.
About the other activities and forms of cooperation in this area with the directors of economical society EKOstarPAK Vojislav Stankovic and manager of project, Nevena Pesikan and Marija Jovic spoke the president of Municipality PhD Igor Novakovic, Milos Stojkovic, member of Municipal Council as well as a Municipal coordinator for Roma issues Dragan Osmanovic and secretary of the Centre for active communication of Roma population, Bojan Zenulovic. 
On the occasion of 15 Nis entrepreneurs successful presentation at the International Fair of techniques in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, president of Palilula Municipality, PhD Igor Novakovic organized the reception and discussion with the representatives of all the companies. Their participation at the Fair was realized within the project of Palilula Municipality `Establishing a synergistic dialogue between Serbian and Bulgarian entrepreneurs / SMEs and professional organizations to develop a sustainable exchange of experience" and financial support of LEDIB programme at the end of September. During this meeting president Novakovic spoke about new project of Palilula Municipality within the programme of border cooperation that will support the forming of official hall of SMEEs sector products of the Municipality and the City at the Fair location. 
In renovated sport hall `Cair` in Nis `Third Auto show of cars, motors and following equipment` was opened. The Fair was opened by Milos Simonovic, mayor of the City of Nis and Oliver Paunovic, manager of Auto show 2011. Paunovic expressed his satisfaction that the people from Nis could enjoy in the exhibition that gathered 50 exhibitors. The latest models of world wide brands of car industry are exhibited in new space of 3,000 squares. Bratislav Ignjatovic, director of Cair sport center, also addressed and welcomed the visitors. PhD Igor Novakovic, president of Palilula Municipality, Milan Djurdjevic, president of Palilula Municipal Assembly, Bojan Ilic, head of Municipal Administration and Boban Mikic, member of Municipal Council were all present at the opening ceremony. 
The organization of `Friends of Palilula Children` Association after the successful project promotion - `improvement of the status of children in society` and within the children week in Nis held the forming assembly of its organization in Palilula Municipality. The members of initiative board and interested educational workers and parents on this occasion were welcomed by PhD Igor Novakovic, president of Palilula Municipality. He supported with his signature the initiative that in the territory of Palilula will be formed this form of organization of the citizens with the aim of improvement of psycho-physical and social life of our youngest population. 
The head of Administration of Lazarevac Municipality visited Palilula Municipality and with Milan Djurdjevic, president of Palilula Municipal Assembly and Bojan Ilic, head of Municipal administration spoke about the work of the departments of Palilula Municipality and developmental projects. The hosts introduced the guest from Lazarevac with the work of municipal services, forms of cooperation with the citizens as well as the organizers of fair manifestations `Auto-moto fest 2011` that was opened in reconstructed sport hall Cair. 
Fifth `Joy of Europe 2011` was organized in St. Sava Hall in Nis. The organizer of the Joy of Europe is church dancing group `Branko` under the sponsorship of Palilula Municipality gave this year interesting cultural – artistic programme. After the blessing of the organizers and participants of programme that was given by His Holiness Nis Archbishop Jovan, little performers from Macedonia, Bulgaria, Belgrade, Brus and Nis were also greeted by Milan Djurdjevic, president of Palilula Municipal Assembly. He emphasized that this manifestation is within the celebration of Children Week in Nis and that Palilula Municipality supports all the activities that has for its aim the improvement of the work with children and young people. 
During the 67th International Technical Fair in the Bulgarian town of Plovdiv, Palilula Municipality organized on September 29 "Business Forum Serbia - Bulgaria." During this thematic conference, organized with the support of the Embassy of Serbia in Bulgaria, the Regional Chamber of Economy - Nis and Nis LEDIB, about fifty businessmen from Bulgaria and Serbia participated. After the welcome words of Ivan Sokolov, director of this prestigious fair events, the participants were addressed by Aleksandar Milicevic, Attaché for Economic Affairs of our embassy in Sofia. He spoke about current economic developments in the region and the importance of achieving regional economic cooperation.
